Stanton Home Weavery is a studio in a 200-year-old barn nestled next to a working farm and the Stanton Home farmhouse.
It is home to a collection of specialty floor looms– a few new and others charitably classified as vintage. On vibrantly colored warps elegant goods are woven. All of the weavers are individuals with special needs and this handwork provides them with the opportunity to hone their dexterity, express their creativity and socialize with their peers…
The appealing results of this work are displayed here. At present, we offer scarves, baby bibs, blankets, coin purses, hot water bottle covers, and a few pillows and table mats. The proceeds from the sale of our products directly support this and other programs like it for people with special needs.
We invite you to purchase them for yourself or for gifts, and to use them over the years, knowing that they come from a tradition of patient handwork and determination.
